साया और दिया

तुम जो ना रहोगे, तो अँधेरी सी हो जायेगी ज़िन्दगी ।

तब दिल ना करेगा रोशनी में यूँ दिन गुजारने की ।

कम से कम तुम अपनी साया तो छोड़ जाओगे क्या? 

उसे महसूस करने के बहाने कभी जलालेंगे दिया ।

(When you will no more be there, life shall turn dark.
Then the heart would not want to brood the days in light.
Will you at least leave your shadow by my side?
To feel which, at times, I shall burn the lamp.)
