Gleam in the eyes..

The thoughts in this poem were lingering in me since the
day I walked in support of Anna Hazare movement.. They flowed out
sitting at Lalbagh on Good Friday..

"If you failed to notice, something shiny gleams in our eyes.
As hopes, aspirations, dreams and rebellion in us arise!
Revolutions for justice sparkle out of moments as these.
Steps ahead are uncertain, but life was never at ease!

Enough of integrity being kicked by the boots of power.
With our limits of tolerance breached, each of us is a savior!
In our motherland of serene hearts, minds have gone corrupt.
Its not the spirit of vengeance, but if need be, blood shall erupt!

We are asked to adjust, for nothing can be changed say the cynics.
Let us adjust, but never will we surrender against conscious ethics!
Do not mistake this for furious outrage which dies the next day,
Its neither mind nor heart, but our soul which fights this way!"
